At Cultivating Leadership, our mission has never been about accumulating wealth or assets. Instead, we’re driven by a deeper purpose. In 2021, this commitment led our founders to make a bold decision: they gave the business away to a charitable foundation—The Tilt Foundation—ensuring that any wealth generated could be directed toward projects that enable a future led by purpose rather than profit.
With a mission to tilt the odds in favor of human and environmental sustainability, the Tilt Foundation embodies our dedication to using everything we know about complexity and adult development to support activities that increase the chances of a better future. It also provides our global collective with a unique opportunity to reflect on how we want to invest our resources—whether that’s time, money, brilliance, or effort—into making a meaningful difference. Together, we aim to contribute to a better world, using our collective resources to drive change where it’s needed most.
Growing our impact:
becoming a B Corp.
In 2024, Cultivating Leadership joined the B Corp global community. We’ve always been on a mission to be a force for good, so their robust and respected set of standards provides us with external accountability as our collective grows.
As part of the journey to becoming a B Corp, we had the opportunity to reflect on and articulate our commitment to human flourishing, to justice, equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging (JEDIB), and to sustainability.
We have created measures and benchmarks to continually improve our operations and reduce negative impacts on the planet, such as our carbon footprint, and will regularly report on our progress.
