Mandira feels most energized when she partners with leaders and teams to help them grow their awareness and practice of conscious leadership, in their unique and complex organisational contexts.
Her work is informed by the belief that all of us have deeply entrenched patterns of thinking, that, by default, and quite insidiously, inform our sense of who we are, and what possibilities we see for ourselves and others. Some of these beliefs have served as strengths at a particular point of time in our lives, however, as we evolve in our roles, they carry liabilities and deeply limit our capaciousness. Once these beliefs are visible and held up for exploration, their hold on us loosens and new ways of responding to challenges can emerge. This can be a deeply generative and creative experience for us as humans, and how we lead ourselves.
In recent years, Mandira has partnered with CEOs, C-suite executives, entrepreneurs and their teams in growing their leadership capacity in complex contexts across India, Europe, US, and Africa. These leaders represent the corporate sector, purpose-driven companies, social impact and non-profit, and those in helping professions (doctors/public health specialists).
She brings 20+ years of lived experience of – being part of the founding team of several organisations and leading them to scale and growth, in service of their business potential, keeping people and culture as paramount. Before being a leadership coach and consultant Mandira worked extensively in the area of public policy consulting as well as non-profit/social impact organisations.
As a leadership coach, she is a certified Growth Edge Coach, Leadership Circle Profile™️ Coach and also holds a PCC credential from ICF. She has received training in the Neuroscience of Change and Psychodrama and brings this to her coaching practice. Mandira serves as a pro bono executive coach for The Women’s Impact Alliance, USA, and the Cartier Women’s Initiative – a set of global programs that nurture leadership development of high potential young women leaders of impact.
Her academic pursuits include a PhD in Public Policy from University of Massachusetts, Boston, an MSW from TISS, Mumbai and a B.A (Hons.) in Psychology from Lady Shri Ram College, New Delhi.
Mandira lives in Bangalore with her partner and their four legged son and 2 legged daughter. During free play you can either find her roaming the parks of Bangalore, or in feisty and humourous discussions at her book club, or in the intriguing world that K-dramas offer.
Mandira’s coaching style has helped me accept & be comfortable with myself and be unabashedly authentic. This helps me trust my instincts better without being anxious and being able to understand and handle the voices in my head. I’ve also come to appreciate my innate strength upon understanding when to respond vs react. I am intentional about the way I want to show up and how I choose to respond to circumstances. It has made me more accepting of consequences and focus on the next growth edge rather than critical self-evaluation. Mandira’s coaching style has been extremely kind and welcoming which definitely helped me trust the process. I am glad I made this choice.
