Shweta Anand Arora

I help individual leaders and teams to thrive and be their biggest, best selves. And to create workplaces infused with purpose, love and courage – so the collective can be at its best.

My clients are leaders and teams who are ambitious and successful, and yet seeking more from their work – perhaps a greater sense of purpose or a deeper alignment with their values, or perhaps bringing more humanity into the systems they lead.

I have worked with CEOs, CXOs, Partners and Directors, and executive and functional leadership teams, across organisational life stages from startups to large global firms. Many of my clients come from the professional services, technology and consumer spaces, as well as from non-profit organisations.

Two current examples:

  1. I am coaching the second-generation leader of a family-led manufacturing unit. The organisation is going through a period of significant change and challenge. Along with a colleague, I am also working with his next line of leaders. We are co-creating a journey to support this team to come together in this difficult time, create a circle of trust, make sense of where they are going, and how they need to support themselves, their teams and the broader organisation through this change.
  2. I coached a senior leader through a significant career transition, taking on a new entrepreneurial role. As he settled into this role, he learned to let go of narratives that were no longer serving him, and lean into a mindset and beliefs that enabled him to bring forth his significant gifts. He then brought us in to work on building his organisation to collectively be at its best. Together, we’ve worked with his system to help articulate, and now embed, a ‘code’ of beliefs and behaviours that can help them win, even in a market where they are relatively new.

In my work with individuals, I start with a self-discovery process that helps them articulate what they really care about – their values, purpose and gifts, as well as their goals for our work together. We then embark on a journey of reflection that unearths existing beliefs and patterns, and allows for shifting those that are no longer useful. This happens through crafting actions and experiments, which slowly become new ways of thinking and being in the world. Through this journey, leaders often find greater effectiveness, while also tapping into greater joy and fulfilment.

While working with systems, I typically partner with my colleagues to listen deeply and understand the aspirations the system holds, and where they are right now. We then co-create ways to intervene that create sustainable shifts. Our work is often informed by our research and insight around what creates thriving systems – at the heart of which is deep connection – with oneself, each other, our collective purpose and values, and the world at large.

My clients and colleagues tell me that my superpowers include: deep listening for what is not being said, in service of helping clients unearth what they truly want; a mindset of curiosity and continuous learning that inspires evolution in those I work with; leading with purpose, joy and inspiration, married with non-judgemental insight, fearlessness and deep empathy.

I am shaped by my experience working in, leading and building organisations. In my own work as a leader, and as a consultant at BCG working with the C-suite, I observed that people were at the heart of unlocking most business problems. I’ve reflected often on what fired me up at work, and what challenged and overwhelmed me. My organisational experience helps me have deep empathy for the leaders I work with.

As I started my journey as a coach and consultant, it also led me to finding spirituality, and its intersections with science. My spiritual journey has shaped who I am and how I show up at work.

And finally, my work is shaped by a dream to see workplaces where we can be deeply human, where we can learn and build together and inspire each other – with love, joy, and a sense of flow and ease.

“Shweta and Rameet bring in an exceptional combination of deep empathy and compassion for their clients with some really practical and best practice toolsets, which has been of incredible help both for my personal journey over the last 4 years, as well as building a strong culture for our fast growing, high performance firm.”

HEAD OF REGION
GLOBAL PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FIRM

I am a Director of Cultivating Leadership India, and I work alongside my colleagues in India and outside, as a coach and facilitator. We bring our work to individuals, teams and cohorts of leaders.

I have a Masters in Education from Harvard University and an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. I am a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF), and a certified Deep Transformational Coach from the Center for Transformational Coaching. I have also studied Organisation and Relationship Systems Coaching (Fundamentals) from CRR Global, and Growth Edge Coaching.

What brings me alive outside of my work is human connection. You will often find me in deep conversations with friends, attempting to answer existential questions about life and meaning. I am also trying to grow myself to do the hardest (and most rewarding) job that has ever been sent my way – parent a teen, a tween (and the family dog) in these slightly crazy times! And in the moments when it all gets too much, I find comfort and joy in curling up with a good book.
